About Cri de Coer:
Cri de Coeur is a French expression that translates literally to “cry from the heart.” To us, it symbolizes our heartfelt desire to change the face of the fashion footwear market. Launching for Spring 2008, Cri de Coeur provides stylish, contemporary women’s footwear that is ethically produced from start to finish.
Every pair is made by hand as much as possible in Europe. Our shoes are entirely free of animal products and as environmentally friendly as technology will allow, without sacrificing style or wearability.
Not your usual vegan footwear, there’s no sign of the “granola, hippie” stereotype here. These are shoes for serious fashionistas, with a conscience.
Cri de Coeur’s mission is to become a name synonymous with high fashion and uncompromising ethical values. We will also attempt to make a real impact on people’s mindsets as they shop by helping them to be more aware of how their purchases affect the planet.
We have partnered with thecarbonfund.org to offset all carbon emissions that we can't avoid, and have pledged to plant a tree for every pair of shoes sold.
