Ask The Editor: "It's just a matter of putting the right pieces together..."
Here are some answers to some recent stye dillemas I've answered:
What should I wear for a horse-back photo shoot? Please help! I've hired a professional to take a portrait of me on my horse. What should I wear? Also, do you have any suggestions on how I should style my hair? Rosalia, New Mexico, 22
I would suggest classic jeans or riding pants but dress it up with a nice blouse maybe a poet blouse with ruffles or it that's bit much for you do a classic white button up shirt and a vest. I would style the hair natural; maybe with a little wave or curl for extra body.
Do you know of any plus size stores for women which carry urban and stylish clothing? Geena, Rochester, 26
Visit http://www.curvychick.com/ - you'll find tons of links to great shopping sites and thousands of plus size women who can direct you to what you're looking for. There's a fashion message board there where girls post photos of clothing and of themselves wearing what they've bought, so it's a great resource.
I love the bohemian fashion. But I cannot get much of it because I have little money and cannot find anything like it for a cheap price. Any advice on where to get it cheaper? Alicia, Seattle, 34
Bohemian is more of a look than a particular style of clothing. Bohemian is typically ethnic printed pieces, bright eclectic jewelry, and layering various pieces to create a well-traveled look. You probably have some of this stuff in your closet it's just a matter of putting the right pieces together to bring this look to full potential. Here's what I recommend for creating this look (all affordable): Layering Tanks: These could be purchased in a variety of colors and styles at prices ranging from $2.50 (Forever 21's Brilliant Buy Camisole) to $14. (standard Gap tank price). Ethnic Print Tops, Skirts, & Dresses: Since ethnic tops and dresses will be key items in your Bohemian look; you should be prepared to spend a little more here and go for some pieces that really project the bohemian look you are going for. Look to stores like Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Metallic & Patterned Flats: Patterned flats are everywhere this season. Check out Old Navy for some low prices options. Natural Elements & Eclectic Accessories: Tons available at low prices at Forever 21. Also thrift, resale stores, and street vendors are great places to score bohemian pieces!
