I've been tagged by Boutique Mix to post 7 random facts about myself. Well since I'm new to the whole Meme thing and am pretty sure that I'm probably the last person to get tagged. I am going to switch it up a little bit. I will post 7 random facts about myself and 1 quote. Yes, I'm changing the Meme. I have no idea if this is legal or not. I may get arrested by the Meme police but I'm willing to take that chance. So read on for 7 random facts about me, 5 which are quite embarrassing I might add...
Random Fact #1: My best friend is my dog Maji. She's half pit-bull and half chow chow. I rescued her eight years ago from some guys that were going to use her as a fighting dog (think Micheal Vick). I admit, she can be a little aggressive at times, but she's such a sweetie to me!
Random Fact #2: My favorite movie of all time is Steel Magnolias (knock it was on last night). I can't even tell you how many time I've seen this movie. At one point I had actually memorized every word line for line. You've just gotta love Trudy!
Random Fact #3: I have this habit of writing my name over and over again in cursive when I'm bored.
Random Fact #4: I can't whistle or wink!
Random Fact #5: I had trouble determining right from left for the longest time! In fact I didn't solidify the difference between right and left until high school when I started driving! I know pathetic. My excuse? I actually believe that I missed that day in the first grade. They never went over it again!
Random Fact #6: My very first boyfriend now lives in New York with his lover! He was the first boy I kissed in the fourth grade when he got off the bus and ran to my house to confess his love for me! He picked some flowers from my mothers rose garden and gave them to me and then we kissed (g-rated)! Yes it was magic! Throughout junior high and high school are romance remained platonic. We both took vows during our junior proms to save ourselves until marriage. I recently found out he lives in the NYC with his lover of five years! If only I had seduced him in high school... LOL!
Random Fact #7: My favorite place to shop? Thrift stores. I guess there's just something about being able to walk into a store and knowing that absolutely nothing is out of your price range. On rainy days I'll got to a consignment or goodwill store and literally spend hours just shifting through the racks looking for great pieces to add to my wardrobe. Hands down, my favorite finds are usually accessories. I love vintage jewelry, belts, scarfs and handbags. Of course every now and then a store attendant completely drops the ball and prices a designer item at a price much too low. My most recent score, a classic Chanel white quilted handbag for twelve dollars!
