Today’s my birthday and with that special personal event comes an array of emotions. Emotions ranging from the wonderment of life to the disappointment of missed opportunities as well as the excitement of the anticipated future and what prospects it may bring. Accompanying these emotions, is the desire to receive love and adoration from those that mean the most to me. This desire is soon illuminated in a phone call from both of my parents swooning over how “they’ve watched their little girl grow up”. I’m the baby in the family and they waste no time reminding me of that “I will always be the baby no matter how old I am”, to the sweet phone calls from my charming niece and nephew as they sing “happy birthday” in unison. Although these birthday wishes are somewhat traditional they just never seem to get old. Feeling loved and appreciated remains splendid.

And alas as the sun peaks from out the clouds corner and begins to light it rays on a faultless day I am positive that today is going to be perfect.
