From The Editor: Apologies, Apologies...
Sincere apologies to all apresenta readers, as this summer I have been practically M.I.A. I know, I know, I haven't forgotten about all you fabulous readers (I am so not worthy!). I assure you, as of this month the apresenta blog will be back in full effect! Read on for an update (er, excuses) on what I've been up to as well as what's in store for the apresenta blog.
Excuse 1: I got bit by the love bug. Well you know what they say, you can't fight the love bug and alas your fellow hot-tempered diva has been bitten and smitten. I know, I didn't think it was possible either! Needless to say, this summer has been filled with long weekend sabbaticals to the Hampton's, the Cape, and dodges all over New York City to celebrate this new found passion. --
Excuse 2: Business has been booming. There must be something ninety degree weather, that makes people hard-pressed to clean their closets! I have been booking closet evaluation appointments left and right, and with the Fall quickly looming upon us I anticipate the bookings will continue to increase. Now booking October.
Excuse 3: New business. Ever wonder what your favorite editor does in her spare time? Well when I'm not shopping or reading the latest NYT bestseller, you can find me in the kitchen whipping up some "exotic culinary creation". I love to cook and consume good food and drink. I have always wanted to chronicle my rather spur-of-the-moment culinary miracles ((and uh a few disasters. Check out The Nosh to check out my recent work in progress.
Well, as I took my very lofty reprieve from the website, apresenta reader's took absolutely no reprieve on sounding off on what they love and hate about the apresenta blog.
Love #1: Fashion Theory. Reader's love these informational posts on fashion and our craving more of them. I have written many informatinal articles on various fashion topics however due to the amount of fashion blogs on the webs there is currently a mind numbing amount of fashion know-how on the web. Due to this, apresenta will be introducing Style Bible. Style Bible will be a feature dedicated to the best fashion know-how on the web featuring post from various fashion bloggers and taste makers. Of course, this section would not be complete input and feedback from "yours truly". P.S. it's worth more than two cents.
Love #2 & #3 & #4: What To Wear Workbook, Ask The Editor, and Fashionable Giveaway. All of the above are crowd pleaser's, blog readers our yearning for more. Consider it done.
Readers are not so fond of "your unequivocal assertion that all of us have an endless bank account to splurge on outrageously over-priced designer handbags and clothing..." as one reader mildly put it. Point taken. Apresenta will be launching three different profiles to signify pricing of featured items. The categories will be posh (items prices below the $100 mark), smart (items priced from $100-$500) and luxe (items priced from $500 and above).
And still our most prevalent reader complaint, "Where the hell are you guys?" We know. We're back.
